Wekkitech is seeking a Connectivity Solutions Intern to join our Technical Operations team. You’ll work at the intersection of network performance, client support, and cutting-edge connectivity tools like Kadogoo Hotspots and SaidaLink.
This role is ideal for a young professional looking to grow into a career in Network Operations, Field Deployment, Technical Support, or Research & Engineering within the ISP industry.
Responsibilities
As a Connectivity Solutions Intern, you’ll:
- Support our Network Operations Center (NOC) in monitoring system performance and managing network alerts.
- Assist with field installations, including fiber and wireless deployments.
- Respond to client issues and provide technical support both on-site and remotely.
- Participate in testing and prototyping for new R&D products.
- Document infrastructure setups, client issues, and internal processes.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A recent graduate or student in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, ICT, or a related field.
- Familiar with IP networking, fiber optic infrastructure, and Mikrotik systems (or willing to learn fast).
- Comfortable working in both field and office environments.
- A problem-solver with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Passionate about using technology to serve underserved communities.
Added Advantage:
- Exposure to Fiber Mtaani or similar technical programs.
- Hands-on experience with networking tools, field troubleshooting, or support roles.
