Wekkitech Kicks Off Fiber Mtaani Cohort 2 with Expanded Partnerships and Training Scope

Nakuru, Kenya – August 2025 – Wekkitech Limited, through its flagship skills empowerment initiative Fiber Mtaani, has officially launched Cohort 2 of its hands-on fiber optic training program at Kabarak University. The five-day workshop, running from August 25th to 29th, 2025, is set to train over 120 participants in cutting-edge Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) deployment, network design, and safety best practices. Building on the success of Cohort 1, which equipped 102 trainees with practical fiber skills and recorded a 65% employment or self-employment rate within three months, this edition features stronger industry partnerships and a broader training scope. Trainees work directly with industry-grade tools, equipment, and live network simulations — bridging the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world fieldwork.
